The Miller of Mansfield
Situated in the village of Goring-on-Thames in South Oxfordshire, The Miller of Mansfield is an 18th-century inn with four star facilities between the Berkshire Downs and the Chiltern Hills. Guests at this inn can enjoy country walks, boating on the river and the local traditional British festival celebrations, while the urban attractions of Oxford and Reading may be reached in about a 30-minute drive.
The individually designed rooms nod back to the building’s roots, with antique fireplaces, wooden floors and marble bathrooms, while also embracing the 21st century with flat-screen TVs, high-pressure showers and complimentary Ren Skincare toiletries.
The husband and wife owner team both trained with The Fat Duck Group in Bray, and use it as inspiration in the double AA Rosette-awarded restaurant to create dishes such as fillet of local venison and poached celeriac fondant.
