The Hotel

The Sidings Hotel is a conceptual hotel designed to celebrate the romantic heritage of classic 20th century rail travel. Built exclusively from vintage Pullman-style railway carriages, the hotel retains a sharp focus on the fine quality fittings of a pre-1960 steam rail, boasting a stained wood decor, fine, polished metal-work and linen tablecloths.
Guest rooms are converted original Pullman carriages with en suite bathrooms, and come fitted with hospitality trays, TVs and hairdryer.
The restaurant offers an extensive food and wine menu, while the spacious conservatory allows guests to sit and enjoy the panoramic views of the open Yorkshire countryside.

Groupon’s Guide to North Yorkshire

The largest county in England beckons with quaint spa towns, green pastures and hearty dining. In the traditional seaside town of Scarborough tourists may visit the Victorian spa, walk along the harbour or head to the 3000-year-old ruins of Scarborough Castle for some family photos. Holidaymakers may also explore the historic spa town of Harrogate, where authentically styled Turkish baths, plunge pools and steam rooms beckon with quality leisure moments. In York, the largest medieval cathedral in all of Northern Europe may be admired before following the almost five mile long circuit of the City Walls.
